mommies please read

yall this article is awesome i love it! Please read and dream with me about all that God will do with our Children. I love to think about the friendships they have now someday taking them together all over the world. I often think about Titus with his Cousin Ladan leading the ministry in Sudan when we are too old to continue. This may never happen but it is fun to dream of what God has in store! I think about Titus's friends and dream about where God will take them. I love looking into the eyes of the little ones at our church and in my heart beg God to take them to the nations. May the Lords name be made known here in America and all over the Globe!

Cast your vote...

to all my readers....For sometime now i have contemplating blogging on blogspot.  I have tried to remail loyal to xanga but to honest it has some stiff competition!  I thought about copy and pasting all my blogspot entries into xanga so as to allow those of you who get the xanga emails but never really visit the site, to still stay plugged in.

Blogspot is super mommy friendly.  You can write on a post, save it, walk away for hours and come back and finish it before ever posting it.  It allows anyone to comment, you DO NOT have to be a blogspoter.  You can link all your fav links so you never have to leave your page to get where you want to go...and on goes the list.  I got to looking at the blogs i vistit regularly and they are almost ALL blogspot.    But the one thing that draws me the most is that you can make your blog into a bound book.  Each year or however you want to devide it you can order a bound version of all that you have typed!

So heres where you come into my desion making....If you dont mind traveling over to my blogspot, please leave me a comment on my blogspot showing your excitement about my upgrade.  If you are wanting me to remail loyal to the old xanga....leave me a xanga comment.  Now for all you Ghost readers....you know who you are...Steph Combs...and many others, no excuses now...you can comment away on the old blogspot with out having to have one!

Okay heres the address.... www.amberburger.blogspot.com

I ll let you know who wins!

What's on the Menu Monday!

Okay girls (and guys if you wish)....i am declaring What's on the Menu Monday's.  Every monday if you wish, post your fav recipe, preferably one that you cook often, your family enjoys.  My hope is that we can be a great encouragement to one another "to provide food for her household" prov. 31:15, that we can excite eachother to feed our families in healthy and affordable ways and that our pallets will be satisfied along the way!

The first Item on the Menu is a family fav.  As soon as it runs out, I make more...its amazing...enjoy!

Homemade Granola

(this recipe is from a small B&B in the hill country and as you will find out in the monday's to come, i have added and taken away in order to make it mine...hehe!)

4 1/2 cup rolled oats

1/2cup walnuts (we use pecans) chopped

1/2 cup sunflower seeds

1/2 cup almonds

1/2 cup cashew, pieces

1/2 cup pumpkin seeds

3/4 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup canola oil

1 tsp vanilla

1 1/2 cups dried cranberries

Cinnamon to taste

Place first 6 ingredients in  bowl and mix well.

Mix together syrup, honey, canola, vanilla and pour over dry ingredients and stir until covered

Place in large shallow pan (i use a large casserole dish, my aunt uses a deep cookie sheet) and lightly cover with cinnamon and bake at 350 for 50min stirring every 10 mins.  Each time you stir lightly cover with Cinnamon again.

Cool and add cranberries. Keep in fridge in air tight container up to  two weeks.

This is great for breakfast with milk, a handful dry for a snack or on yogurt or ice cream for dessert!

ENJOY!

So I have been wanting to do this for a while now...with many of my blogs i think on them for so long. In fact, most of them never make it to their cyber home,  they remain forever in the oblivion of my head...poor things.

This blog is titled link it up because i am going link some of my favorite sites, articles and blogs and I am asking you, my dear readers to do the same.  Link a sister up...seriously.

This is a way of letting everyone in on the sites you love to visit.

****update on my cousin**** She is getting a MRI done today that will confirm further injuries. As of now we know she has a severe scull fracture, vertebra 1 and 2 are broken, her ear was cut off and she is in alot of pain.  So far, Praise God, she has all movement and  feeling in both her arms and legs, so the neck injury, in as far as we know, is not paralyzing the rest of her body.  Thanks for the Prayers!
